Does the Village have rules on how tall grass can be? At what point does the Village make the owners cut it?
Chapter 674 of the Village’s Codified Ordinances regulates length of grass/weeds. Ten (10) inches is the maximum height that grass/weeds can grow before they are in violation of Evendale Code. Should a property owner let their grass/weeds exceed the 10-inch height the Building Commissioner will contact the property owner by phone to resolve the situation. A letter ordering the grass/weeds to be cut follows this phone call. If this does not resolve the situation the property owner is notified that the Village will cut the grass and invoice the property owner. This takes 30 days to accomplish in order to provide the property owner with due process.

Who do I call for large items trash pick up?
Regular trash collection is provided by the Village through Rumpke. They collect most items as part of your regular service. Special Pickup is available to residents for items such as old furniture, appliances, shrubs or tree root balls. Refrigerators and AC units must have the freon or CFC removed before the Service Department will pick- up. These appliances must be tagged showing verification that a certified technician has removed the freon or CFC from the unit before the Service Department will collect the item. Contact the Village of Evendale Service Department at 563-4338 or send an email request to kaye.oakes@evendaleohio.org to schedule a pick-up or with any questions.
What does the Village do about wild animals running around such as fox, deer and coyote?
