Mission Statement
The Village of Evendale maintains a wealth of recreational resources and activities for residents to pursue. These recreational opportunities are dictated in large part by the Recreation Commission. After Village Council establishes an annual budget for the Recreation Department the Recreation Commission has the power and authority to equip, operate, supervise and maintain public playgrounds, athletic fields, swimming pools, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, indoor recreation facilities and other recreational facilities on or in public grounds or buildings owned by the
Village.
The Recreation Commission is made up of eight members with seven of those being voting members. The Recreation Director is member eight without the ability to vote on matters. Six of the members have to be residents of the Village, one of the members is a Phi Lambda Pi representative, one is a Council representative and one member must be an officer or employee of a business establishment in the Village.
