How many sets of plans do I need for submittal?

4 sets of plans are required upon submittal for a building permit.

What do I need a permit for?

You need a permit for roof, fence, HVAC, demolition, remodel.

You do not need a permit for flat concrete work, driveways, replacement windows & doors, siding.

What do I need to submit to the Building Department in order to reveive a permit?

4 sets of plans.

A completed Building and/or Mechanical permit application.

Contractors are required to complete the Evendale Income Tax Department New Business Questionnaire and Subcontractor Registration form. Informational letter to contractors and subcontractors from the Tax Department is recommended to be reviewed.

How long does it take to get my permit approved?

It varies by permit and what is being reviewed. For standard residential issues 2 working days. For commercial and new construction 5 working days. If you have a critical time frame please let us know so we can do our best to accommodate you.

What is the zoning on a specific parcel of property?

Please reference the online zoning map or call the Building Department.

What are the zoning regulations for accessory buildings and/or garages?

Please reference the Chapter 1266 of the Village of Evendale Code of Ordinances AND contact the Building Department for the any recent changes.

What are the zoning regulations for fences?

Depending on your location and placement on your property the regulations vary. Please see Chapter 1266.11 of the Village of Evedale Code of Ordinances AND contact the Building Department and share your ideas before you hire a fence installer.

Do you take credit cards?

The Building Department can accept Visa and Mastercard.
