The police department has, in the last few days, received over 6 reports of cars being either broken into or entered during night hours. This has occured in several different areas.
The persons involved have taken everything from purses to credit cards to phones.
To avoid being a victim of this crime, please ensure that you take the following steps:
Don't leave anything valuable in your car, especially purses or briefcases.
Lock your car.
Report any suspicious persons, cars or sounds to the police department immediately.
