The Village of Evendale, the Gorman Heritage Farm and the Dan Beard Council of the Boy Scouts of America have completed an agreement and finalized design for a new Scout Achievement Center and Headquarter building for the Dan Beard Council in Evendale. This project is to be located at 10078 Reading Road.
In the agreement the Village gets a long term and stable business tenant, significant earnings tax revenue, class A office building on Reading Road corridor, design approval for the building and site, shelter to be built for the Farm's use, as well as a cooperative agreement between the Farm and DBC. The Gorman Heritage Farm gets access to the facilities meeting rooms and multi purpose room several times a year, additional parking adjacent to their current parking area, access to key leadership executives of the DBC, 30,000 scouting members and families at the Farm's front door and access to possible eagle scout projects.
