Q.  How do I obtain a copy of a squad run report?
A.  If you are the individual involved you can stop by the station to sign a medical authorization release form with valid photo id, (i.e., driver’s license), or a copy can be requested via mail.  If requesting a copy by mail, you will need to supply us with the individual’s name, and date of incident, accompanied with a medical release form.  If a third party (i.e., attorney) is requesting a report by mail, they must also include a power of attorney form and a return self-addressed envelope for mailing the report.  There is no copy fee.
                        
Q.  How do I obtain a copy of a fire report?
A.  Contact our department and provide the incident date and address.  Insurance representatives are to provide us with this information and a return self-addressed envelope for mailing the report.  There is no copy fee.

Q.  If I call the life squad will I receive a bill?
A.  If you are resident, you will not receive a bill.  However, if you have insurance, the insurance carrier will receive a bill.  If you are a non-resident, you or your insurance carrier will receive a bill.  Contact the station with any questions on billing.

Q.  Do you provide CPR or first aid training?
A.  Yes, CPR and first aid training classes are available to Evendale residents and businesses by request.  Contact Lieutenant Bob Murray (bob.murray@evendaleohio.org) for scheduling.

Q.  Do you provide fire extinguisher training?
A.  Yes, fire extinguisher training classes are available to Evendale residents and businesses by request.  Contact Carlton Thomas (carlton.thomas@evendaleohio.org) for scheduling.

Q.  How do I obtain a smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, weather radio, or power failure light?
A.  The Evendale Fire Department will provide Evendale residents with these items free or at a reduced cost.  See “Public Education & Life Safety” area of website for additional information.

Q.  How do I obtain a bicycle helmet?
A.  The Evendale Fire Department will sell helmets to anyone during normal business hours.  See “Public Education & Life Safety” area of website for additional information.

Q.  Does the Evendale Fire Department have a KNOX Box Program?

Q.  Can I have an outdoor fire, other than a grill in Evendale?

Q.  Can I have someone from the fire department check my blood pressure?
A.  Yes, stop by the station during normal business hours, and someone will be happy to take your blood pressure.

Q.  How do I have my business included in the “High Water” Notification list?
A.  We no longer maintain a High Water Notification List. This is handled through the Call Multiplier Notification system.  Please click on this link for further information.
Q.  Will you provide a speaker for fire safety lectures?
A.  Yes, the fire department provides speakers for a variety of topics.  Contact the fire department with your specific request.

Q.  Do you give tours of your fire house?
A.  Yes, the fire department provides tours along with age appropriate fire safety lectures/demonstrations.  Contact the fire department with your specific request.

Q.  How do I schedule your Life Safety Education Center for an event?
A.  The Life Safety Education Center is available on a limited basis.  Requests need to be submitted one month prior to your event.  Contact the Life Safety Education Center Training Coordinator, Steve Hamm (steve.hamm@evendaleohio.org) for additional information.

Q.  Can I use a fire hydrant in Evendale for a construction project?
A.  Yes, first stop by the fire department during normal business hours and a permit will be issued for your specific hydrant location and fire department hydrant number (hydrant number is stenciled on each hydrant).  A $100 deposit (check or cash) is required for all hydrant permits. Secondly, take the Evendale Fire Department Hydrant Permit to Cincinnati Water Works (CWW) obtain a meter from CWW.

Q.  Can I use a fire hydrant in Evendale to fill a pool?
A.  No, you cannot use a hydrant to fill a pool.Your domestic house water system must be used for this purpose.

Q.  Do you provide residential/business inspections?
A.  Yes.  Residential inspections are performed at the request of the property owner.  Businesses will normally be inspected annually by the Evendale Fire Prevention Bureau.  For additional inspection needs, contact the Evendale Fire Department Fire Prevention Bureau.

Q.  How do I dispose of residential hazardous wastes, (batteries, paint, oil, gas, etc.)?
A.  Do not bring these items to the fire department; instead contact the Hamilton County Department of Environmental Services.

Q.  Can a fire department use our Pump Test Facility?
A.  Yes, fire departments can use our pump test facility.  Visit the “Forms” area of our website and download the four (4) pump test forms listed.  Then contact the officer on duty for scheduling.  Private contractors or contractors hired by fire departments to perform pump tests are not permitted to use the Evendale Fire Department Pump Test Facility.

Q.  Do you install child safety seats?
