CHAIR MASSAGE involves the use of a specially designed massage chair in which the client sits fully clothed in comfortable position. Seated massage incorporates many massage techniques on the back, neck, head, arms, and hands. Length of time can vary from 5 to 20 minutes of therapy.
Swedish Massage uses lotion and oils to improve circulation, relieve muscle tension, and induce relaxation to the muscles and nervous system.
CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY is a gentle, noninvasive therapy using light touch to assist the natural movement of fluid within the craniosacral system. The therapy enhances the body’s natural healing process and is effective in treating a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction. Craniosacral therapy encourages the body’s natural healing mechanisms to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, reduce effects of stress, and enhance health and resistance to disease.
Thai Yoga Massage Therapy is practiced with clients fully dressed in loose, comfortable clothing on a floor mat or a massage table. It is a moderate to deep, full body treatment, working the body’s energy lines by utilizing hand/foot techniques and stretching to the joints & muscles. This therapy can relieve stress and pain, improve range of motion, release toxins, induce deep relaxation, tone internal organs, and increase energy.
Neuromuscular Massage Therapy consists of alternating levels of pressure on the areas of muscle spasms and trigger points. Triggers points are palpable nodules in taut bands of muscle fibers in muscle and common cause of local and referred muscle pain. The massage therapy pressure is usually applied with the fingers, knuckles, or elbow to release the trigger points. Muscle spasm and triggers points can cause lack of oxygen which can produce lactic acid which in turn makes the muscle feel sore following physical activity.
Pregnancy Massage – Check with your doctor - especially during the first trimester. Mother to be is positioned on side for comfort and safety of the baby. The techniques used helps reduce stress, reduce muscle tension, relieve sore muscles and improve circulation.
