 Officer Kevin Wedig began his police career with the Evendale Police Department in March of 1989. He is a graduate of Elder High School and holds an Associate’s Degree in Police Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. Officer Wedig
completed the Police Academy through the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Patrol.
Officer Wedig serves the Evendale Community as a specialist in the area of auto accident reconstruction. In 1999 he implemented the use of laser mapping equipment to assist with serious auto accidents and crime scene reconstruction. He is also the Senior Operator in charge of the Datamaster (DUI testing site), the department’s laser instructor, and an ASP Baton Instructor.
Officer Wedig’s family includes his wife, Katie, stepdaughters Cara and Mary and his daughters Leah and Jenna. His outside interests include boating, fishing, hunting, and archery.
