 Det. Doug Abrams has been with the Evendale Police Department since 1996. Prior to coming to Evendale, Doug worked as a Corrections Officer for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office for 4 years. Officer
Abrams served in the U.S. Army and was assigned to the First Infantry Division. After returning from active duty in Germany, Doug was assigned to the 70th Infantry Division. He is a graduate of Elder High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati.
Det. Abrams is a firearms instructor for the Evendale Police Department. He is trained in the use of handguns, shotguns, AR-15 Carbine Rifle and M-26 Taser. Det. Abrams is a Certified Armorer of Glock Handguns and Bushmaster AR-15 Rifles.
Presently, Det. Abrams is assigned as an Investigator after serving for over 2 years with the Drug Abuse Reduction Task Force. DART is a multi-jurisdictional task force that serves 22 communities in two counties.
Det. Abrams has been married to Cindy since 2002. They have two sons, Jacob and Nolan. Doug enjoys golfing and fishing in his off time.
