Sgt. Asbrock has been with the Evendale Police Department since 1988, and has been a sergeant since 1996. Prior to coming to Evendale, he worked for 6 years as Security Supervisor for Kings Island and as a wrestling coach at Moeller High School.
Joe has an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Raymond Walters College, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Law Enforcement & Corrections from the University of Cincinnati, and has only his thesis to complete for a Master’s Degree in Police Administration.
Sgt. Asbrock was the first D.A.R.E. officer in Evendale and started the first D.A.R.E. program in a deaf school in the State of Ohio. He is trained in D.A.R.E. at the junior high school level. Joe was one of our first bike officers. He is an instructor in the ASP, PR-24, and unarmed self-defense.
Joe and his wife, Stacie, have 3 children – Carey, 11; Kenton, 9, and Isabella, 6. He enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and spending time on his farm in Kentucky.
