Phi Lambda Pi is Evendale’s teen group. Any Evendale resident in the 8th-12th grades is eligible to participate. The New Member Pool Party is the first event that new members can attend. There is no charge, and no sign-ups for the party.
Every Wednesday night after that, Open House takes place at the Recreation Center from 7-9 P.M. And, there are various trips and activities on the weekends, throughout the year, such as:
Texas Hold’em Tournament Paintball
Holiday Party & Overnight Ski Trip Trip to Gatlinburg
Trip to Myrtle Beach Girls / Boys Day Out
The Greek letters, Phi Lambda Pi, stand for service, friendship and play, and this motto is incorporated into all that we do. Phi Lambda Pi does service projects and has fundraisers to help raise money for activities.
In the fall, we rake leaves for Evendale residents who are unable to rake themselves. We volunteer at recreation sponsored events (Movie Nights, Ice-Cream Social, etc.). We host a Kid’s Carnival on July 4th, and we plant flowers at the pool entrance in the spring.
In October, we sponsor a Haunted Trail in conjunction with the Halloween Fest. The event will take place at the Shelter House, where the participants will venture on a haunted trail. Lots of members are needed to make this event a success!
Fundraisers include the annual Village 10K Run on July 4th, selling Entertainment Books and Home Interior candles, and an Election Day Bake Sale. Phi Lambda Pi has been self-funded for the past 46 years, so raising funds is essential to our existence!
Every time you attend a Wednesday night Open House from 7:00-9:00 PM, you earn service points (one per hour.) You also earn points when you volunteer at events or sell items. At the end of each year, we hold an Awards Night and members are rewarded for the amount of points they have raised. Point Cards are kept in the Phi Room, and it is each member’s responsibility to fill out Point Cards every week!
Check out the Phi Lambda Pi bulletin board at the Recreation Center for current activities and events, and a display of photos from recent trips. Sign-up sheets and permission slips for upcoming trips are always posted on this board. Information is also available on the web at www.evendaleohio.org.
