Rules & Regulations
1. I.D. card with proper validation sticker must be given to the pool attendant at the entrance gate. If you forget to bring this card, you must pay a $.50 fee. If you lose your card, another may be purchased during the Center’s office hours for a $5.00 fee.
2. Children under the age of 10 years must be supervised at all times by a responsible person 13 years of age or older. Children under the age of 10 years will not be admitted in the pool area without proper supervision. Children ages 6 years or older are not allowed in the opposite sex’s locker room. Nonswimmers and children under a set age or height MUST be supervised by a person 13 years of age or older.
3. The wading pool is for small children (six years old and under) and their supervising person (13 years or older.) Children not potty trained must wear rubber pants over a diaper or a swim diaper (available for sale at manager’s office.)
4. Children, 12 years of age or under, are absolutely forbidden in the spa/hot tub. DO NOT use alone. You must be 13 years of age or older to use the spa/hot tub.
5. Only persons in swimming apparel are permitted in the swimming area. NO cut-offs, or swimsuits with metal snaps, buckles, buttons, or other metal items. NO street shoes are permitted on the deck.
6. NO running, pushing, fighting, dunking or other rough play. NO climbing on shoulders or hanging on or swimming over safety ropes.
7. Head first dives ARE NOT permitted in depths under four (4) feet and NO back dives or flips permitted off sides of deck. Diving is permitted only in water more than five (5) feet deep.
8. Face masks, tubes, mattresses and other floatation devices are permitted with manager’s or lifeguard’s approval and Coast Guard approved PFD’s are allowed. Please note: A.) Any child wearing a flotation device needs constant parental supervision in order to assure the child’s safety. These flotation devices deflate or come off without warning. Flotation devices for children (such as arm floats) are not safety devices. B.) A child wearing a flotation device may not go off the diving board or down the slide. C.) Floats are not permitted in the pool when the pool is crowded. D.) Children that are using flotation devices MUST be supervised by a parent or guardian and within arm’s
reach.
9. Only one person at a time permitted on the diving boards. Continuous bouncing is prohibited. The diving area is for divers, only.
10. A ten-minute rest period will be observed every hour. This is adult swim time for people 18 years or older.
11. Food and beverages must be consumed in designated/concession area only. All food must be in unbreakable containers.
12. Smoking or the use of any tobacco product, glass containers, throwing items which may cause injury, chewing gum, and use of profanity are not permitted in the facility.
13. The Management reserves the right to prohibit any person(s) from using the swimming pool because of conduct which is detrimental to self or others.
14. Obey lifeguards at all times. Failure to comply with the rules and regulations will result in removal from the pool.
15. The capacity of the swimming pool is 1,200 people. An emergency phone is located in the manager’s office, as well as first aid supplies.
-----CAUTION-----
•Pregnant women; elderly persons; and persons suffering from heart disease, diabetes or high or low blood pressure should not enter the SPA/HOT TUB without prior medical consultation and permission from their doctor.
•Do not use the SPA/HOT TUB while under the influence of alcohol, tranquilizers or other drugs that cause drowsiness or that raise or lower the blood pressure.
•Do not use at water temperatures greater than 104 degrees F.
•Do not use alone.
•Children, 12 years of age or under, are absolutely forbidden in the spa/hot tub.
•Observe reasonable time limits (that is, 15-20 minutes), then leave the water and cool down before returning for another brief stay.
•Long exposure may result in nausea, dizziness or fainting.
•Please shower before and after using the SPA/HOT TUB.
Safety Standards for Water Slides
•Riders shall be 48 inches in height, or pass a swim proficiency test to ride.
•Patrons must ride the water slide in a feet-first position.
•Stopping, changing positions and forming chains shall be prohibited.
•Patrons are not permitted to ride the water slide with small children on their laps.
•Life jackets or other personal flotation devices may not be worn on water slide.
•Patrons must exit receiving pool area immediately upon arrival.
