BIKE EVENDALE!
Celebrate Earth Day by using alternate transportation!
Sunday April 25th  1:00-3:00 p.m.
Please meet at Baxter Park parking lot (behind the rec. center).

Meet our Resident guides, Mary Lou Isaac, Gus Janszen, Michele Gottschlich and Stiney Vonderhaar along with Evendale Police Department Bike Patrol as they take you/your family & friends on a scenic ride through Evendale.  This recreational ride is for all ages!  The one-and-a-half mile round-trip route will not be difficult. So if your child can ride a bike, we encourage you to make this a family event.

During the ride, a stop will be made at Gorman Farm for a hike led by Michele Gottschlich for those that are interested in hiking.  Bikes will be watched over by Councilman Stiney Vonderhaar during the brief walk of the upper meadow.
While at Gorman, view sketches drawn by Stan Hedeen several years ago. They show what the area in front of the lookout looked like during the age of glaciers. There are also some from the state geologist at the time that show how the last two glaciers created some of the landforms. It is truly a different perspective.

Those who wish to continue on a more challenging four-mile ride can follow Gus and Mary Lou.

End the ride back at Baxter Park for a special treat!

FREE EVENT!!!
