Fun in the Sun Summer Program

Items can be brought to the Recreation Center anytime between now
and June 8. Please rinse out containers. Thanks in advance!

SunBeams, Ages 3 – 6
*Children who are entering 1st Grade may sign-up for either program; parents choice. Child may not be enrolled in both SunBeams and FunShines.
Must be potty trained and three years of age by 6/8/09.
M-TH, 9:30 - 11:00 AM
$30 per Child, $40 per Eligible Family Resident
(Max of 20 Eligible Family Residents– first come, first serve)
Emergency Medical Form and Waiver must be filled out at sign-up.
SunBeams is a highly structured morning program. Children are split into three age groups and rotate between three daily stations, including, but not limited to, gym games, crafts, playground, imagination station, song and dance, etc. Leaders are assigned to each area and each age group. A detailed activity calendar available at the beginning of the program.
FunShines, Entering 1st Grade - 7th Grade
*Children who are entering 1st Grade may sign-up for either program; parents choice. Child may not be enrolled in both SunBeams and FunShines.
M-TH, 11:15 AM - 4:00 PM
Bring a lunch every day.
$40 per Child, $50 per Eligible Family Resident
(Max of 20 Eligible Family Residents – first come, first serve)

FunShines begin their day with a choice of a gym game or free play area before meeting for lunch. After lunch, they have the freedom to choose their activities including, but not limited to, sports, arts & crafts, G & PG movies, woodworking, drama, fishing, library, science experiments, cooking, etc. Every Monday and Wednesday participants have the opportunity to go swimming at the pool. Bathing suits, towels and sunscreen must be sent on these two days; Leaders cannot apply sunscreen. Leaders are assigned to each area throughout the day. A detailed activity calendar available at the beginning of the program.

Fabulous Friday Fieldtrips for FunShines
Entering 1st - 7th Grade to Register.
June 12 Pump It Up, West Chester
Sign-up deadline June 10
Includes two hours of fun in the inflatable arenas. Socks must be
worn by all participants. Bring a packed lunch and we will eat before we leave.

Return to Baxter Park: 3:30 PM
Cost: $7.00 Max: 100
June 19 Colerain Bowl
Sign-up deadline June 17
Includes 2 hours of glow bowling, music, shoe rental, one hotdog
and a soft drink. Money may be needed for any other concessions.
Meet at Rec: 11:30 AM
Return to Baxter Park: 3:30 PM
Cost: $8.00 Max: 100
June 26 Skate Town USA, West Chester
Sign-up deadline June 24
Includes roller skate rental & admission. Spending money may be
needed for video games or concessions. Eat lunch beforehand or concessions will be available to buy.

Return to Baxter Park: 3:30 PM
Cost: $6.00 Max: 100
July 10 Laser Kraze, Mason
Sign-up deadline July 8
Includes admission, equipment rental, several games of laser tag, one slice of pizza and one soft drink. Participants can bring money for arcade games in between laser tag games if they would like.

July 17 Family Party at the Pavilion
Adult(s) must attend.
Sign-up deadline July 15
SunBeams, FunShines, Tennis, Swim Team participants and their families are invited to a Family Party at the Pavilion! Come for dinner, fun and friends. We will be providing the food, drinks, music, games and a great time! (rain or shine)
Meet at Pavilion: 7:00 P.M.
Cost: $2.00 per person by July 15
