Childcare Policies
The childcare room will be staffed and is available to any member or person enrolled in a Recreation class or activity. The days/hours of the childcare room are posted above. Children must be at least six weeks of age and not older than 10 years. Childcare fees are paid at the main control desk. Our childcare leader(s) will sign-in a child(ren) on the sign-in sheet. There is a two-hour maximum per stay per child. The attendant to children ratio will be 1:6, when possible. There is no reservation system for childcare- first come, first serve. Children with an illness or fever are not to be brought to childcare. The staff has the right to refuse any child from entering because of a suspected illness. If a child develops a contagious illness after visiting the childcare
room, please report it to the Recreation Center immediately. Parents or guardians must supply all diaper changing supplies. In the event of a Tornado Warning, all children will be taken to the men’s or women’s locker room. In the event of a fire or emergency evacuation, all children will be taken to the sidewalk by the “south” entrance of the Recreation Center.
