**NEW** PLEASE NOTE - A drop box is now available in which taxpayers may deposit tax information after normal business hours. The drop box is securely situated in the lobby of the Police Department, and is located on the wall directly to the left of the entrance. The Police Department lobby is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is monitored by surveillance camera for security purposes.
Requests to extend the due date for filing must be made in writing, and filed with the Evendale Tax Department by the original filing due date of the return. A copy of the Federal Extension, received by the Evendale Tax Department by the original filing due date, is acceptable.
TAX RATE The current tax rate is 1.2%, effective as of January 1, 2005.
DUE DATE In accordance with the Ohio Revised Code, the due date of municipal income tax returns is now April 15th. The 2007 Evendale Income Tax Returns are due April 15th, 2008.
REFUNDS Taxpayers requesting a refund on the Evendale Income Tax Return may now choose to have the refund directly deposited into a savings or checking account. Taxpayers must provide the routing number and account number of the financial institution to which they would like to have the refund deposited, and must indicate whether the account is a savings or checking account. Non-resident employees requesting a refund of tax withheld should refer to "Procedures for Requesting a Refund of Withholding Tax", located under the heading Tax Forms.
PAYMENT The Village of Evendale now accepts MasterCard and VISA as a method of payment for business and individual returns. Taxpayers may elect to pay taxes due by credit card. The taxpayer must indicate on the tax return the type of credit card, MasterCard or VISA, the expiration date on the card, card number and the dollar amount being authorized as payment. A separate signature authorizing payment by credit card is required.
