RESIDENTIAL WASTE COLLECTION: The Village contracts with Rumpke to provide curbside waste collection for village residents. Items to be picked-up should be placed at the curb the night before your scheduled collection day. Waste can only be placed in bags or in metal or plastic watertight containers and can be no bigger than 35 gallons and weigh no more than 50 pounds filled. Collection is between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. either on Monday or Tuesday. If your regularly scheduled pick-up falls on Christmas or New Years Day, it will be rescheduled for the following day.

SPECIAL PICK UP SERVICE: On Mondays, residents are provided with a special pick-up service. All items for special pick-up are to be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Monday morning. Examples of special pick-up items are furniture, appliances, shrubs or tree root balls. Discarded refrigerators and AC units must be tagged, showing verification that a certified technician has removed the freon or CFC from the unit.
YARD WASTE COLLECTION: Items such as vines, weeds, vegetable matter, garden waste, grass clippings, leaves and twigs are considered yard waste. Yard waste material should be placed in yard waste bags or clearly marked trash containers and placed at the curb on your regular trash collection day for pick up by Rumpke.
CURBSIDE RECYCLE INFORMATION: The Village provides curbside-recycling service at no additional cost to the resident. This service is contracted with Rumpke. Recycle bins are to be placed at the curb along with your regular trash. Recycle items must be in a Rumpke provided container. If a resident does not have a recycle bin, they can obtain one by calling the Public Works office at 563-4338 or e-mail us at the Service Director. If you call us after hours,
please leave a detailed message stating your name, address, a phone number where we can reach you and your request for a recycle bin. We will then deliver a recycle bin to your house.

LEAF BAGS: Leaf bags are provided to residents at no charge during the fall season. Residents can pick up leaf bags at the Service Department on Saturday’s from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for eight weeks, beginning in September. Filled bags should be placed at the curb with your regular trash for pickup by Rumpke. Handout dates will be posted.
CHIPPER SERVICE: The Village provides residents with a weekly curbside pick up of tree limbs and brush. This service is available every Monday for residents. Please leave you tree limbs and brush at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on Monday morning. Branches can be no larger than 10” in diameter and are to be stacked neatly with the stalk end at the curb. Twigs are considered yard waste and may be disposed of with your regular yard waste pickup by Rumpke.
NOTE: If you hire a contractor to remove a tree or tree limbs, it is the responsibility of the resident to have the contractor remove the tree limbs, and waste from the property.
FREE WOOD/BRUSH CHIPS: Wood chips are available to residents at no charge upon request. These chips are suitable for pathways or non-growing areas. Please fill out the attached release form and fax to our department at 513-956-2690 or dropped off the signed release form at the Public Works Department office so arrangements can be made for delivery.
DUMP TRUCK SERVICE: If you need to remove a large amount of debris from your residence, a dump truck can be provided to residents at no cost. Upon request, a dump truck will be left at your house for one day so that you may fill it with debris. Items such as paint, oil, batteries, tires, chemicals, appliances with freon, material from contractors, grass clippings, leaves, tree limbs, hedge trimmings, sod or other plant material are not allowed to be placed in the truck. A release form must be completed in order to use this service. The release form is available below and can be faxed to our department at 513-956-2690. A date will then be scheduled for this service. This service is available from April through October only.
STREET SWEEPER: Weather permitting, street sweeping is performed routinely throughout the village. We do our best to sweep the Village streets one to two times per month.
SNOW AND ICE CONTROL: Our crews will salt and plow village streets, beginning with primary routes and proceeding to residential streets. We encourage residents to remove parked vehicles from village streets when snow is predicted. We also ask that you do not shovel snow into the street as this may create a hazardous condition. Our goal is to keep all streets as clean as possible during snow emergencies.
STREET LIGHTS: Cinergy is responsible for the repair of our streetlights.
