Gas & Electric Aggregation Programs

New Gas Aggregation Contract with AEP Energy - October 2022 Update
I am pleased to announce that the Village of Evendale has entered into a 24-month gas aggregation contract with AEP Energy at a fixed rate of $0.839 per ccf for participants in Evendale's Opt-Out Aggregation Program. This rate takes effect October 2022 and expires October 2024. "Opt-Out" means all eligible Evendale homes and small businesses are automatically enrolled in the Program. Residents may voluntary exit or re-enter the Program at any time with no enrollment or termination fees. As of March 2022, 812 out of 1,035 Evendale households participated in Evendale's Program.

The Contract with AEP Energy was facilitated by our aggregation consultant, Energy Alliances, who represents 26 other local governments in the region.

Residents who do not participate in Evendale's program will receive gas supply from Duke Energy or from another gas supplier of their choice. According to Energy Choice Ohio's website (www.energychoice.ohio.gov), Duke Energy's gas rate, effective August 2nd thru August 31, 2022, is $0.9315 per ccf, down from $1.278 per ccf in July 2022.

Within the upcoming weeks, residents will receive mailings directly from AEP Energy with more Program details. All Program information can also be found on the Aggregation Program page on the Evendale website. Residents are welcome to call Village Administration with any questions or concerns at 513-563-2244.
