The Evendale Fire Department consists of one chief, three captains, three lieutenant/paramedics, fifteen firefighter/paramedics, three firefighter/emergency medical technicians and a clerk.

The fire chief works a forty-hour shift and is on call twenty-four hours a day, every day.  The administrative assistant works a 25 hour week.  The captains, lieutenants and firefighter/paramedics/emergency medical technicians work a fifty-three hour workweek, utilizing the three-unit system, with each unit consisting of a captain, a lieutenant/paramedic, five firefighter/paramedics and one emergency medical technician.
