Sgt. Doug Abrams has been with the Evendale Police Department since 1996. Prior to coming to Evendale, Doug worked as a Corrections Officer for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office for 4 years. Officer Abrams served in the U.S. Army and was assigned to the First Infantry Division. After returning from active duty in Germany, Doug was assigned to the 70th Infantry Division. He is a graduate of Elder High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. Sgt. Abrams is a firearms instructor for the department and trains the department in the use of handguns, shotguns, AR-15 Carbine Rifle, as well as the M-26 Taser.
Sgt. Abrams is a Certified Armorer of Glock Handguns and Bushmaster AR-15 Rifles.
Sgt. Abrams served as the department's Investigator prior to his promotion in 2010. He was also the commander of the Drug Abuse Reduction Task Force. Sgt. Abrams has been married to his wife Cindy since 2002. They have two sons, Jacob and Nolan. Doug enjoys golfing and fishing in his off time. |
