Working Title:          Part-Time Recreation Specialist III / Grade B of Teens and Children’s Programs
Department:     Evendale Recreation Department; EOE
Pay:                    $20.26/hr.; 25 hours max per week.

Applicants are asked to submit a Village of Evendale Application, cover letter, resume and list of three references when applying for this position.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation or related field.  Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with teens, children and staff.  Strong computer, interpersonal and collaborative skills.  At least five years of experience with teen and youth populations.  Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Job Summary:
The Evendale Recreation Department is looking to hire a creative and energetic Parks and Recreation professional to lead our teen and children’s programs.  
  • Lead 55-year old teen organization, Phi Lambda Pi.  Duties include coordinating weekly Wednesday Night Open Houses, meetings, fundraisers including a 10K Run and Pool Concession Stand, monthly service projects and various trips.
  • Coordinate and lead summer camp program, Fun in the Sun.
  • Supervise children’s program staff and winter, spring and fall programs and special events.
  • Work family special events, as needed.
  • One evening per week will be required, in addition to some evening programs and weekend hours.
