2018 Evendale Fine Art Exhibit Winner’s Show at the Evendale Cultural Arts Center September 7-9, 2018
Evendale Cultural Arts Center is pleased to announce the 2018 Evendale Fine Art Exhibit Winner’s Show titled, “The Storyteller”, featuring the fine artworks of artist Jimi Jones. In celebration, you are invited to attend the Opening Reception on Friday, September 7 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Enjoy refreshments and music. The exhibit continues through the weekend on September 8 & 9 from 12 – 4 pm daily.
Regional artist Jimi Jones captured first place at the prestigious 2018 Evendale Fine Art Exhibit this past May. Jimi has mastered the ability to tell a story through his paintings. His artistry evokes thought-provoking debates and cleverly captivates the mind of his audience. His masterpieces represent all aspects of human culture to include history, politics, philosophy and religion. Jones says, “I love painting. I can’t stand not painting. I paint. I rest. I paint some more. I take my time to get each story just right. I paint stories the way I see them, so they are very personal. I do a lot of research—reading and watching. Art is the interchange. It is how we connect with viewers.” It is through his paintings that Jones has found his calling in displaying his position in a subtle way that invokes both contemplation and conversation. It is his hope that he can create a masterpiece that “will make a difference [in one’s life] or even change a country’s thoughts.”

The center is located in the restored Civic Center and is owned and operated by the Village of Evendale. There are no elevators at the Cultural Arts Center due to its historic nature.
