Stretching Tradition: Quilt and Fiber Art returns to the Evendale Cultural Arts Center with an opening reception on Friday, September 13 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm. Exhibit hours continue on Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15 from 12 – 4 pm. This quintessential exhibition of contemporary art quilts features over 45 individual works. For over 25 years the Queen City Quilters have been stretching the boundaries beyond traditional quilting. Since their well-received 2017 show this group of nearly 20 artists has added several new members, extending the variety of fiber arts on display. This, their fifth show, features a unique grouping of this year's challenge along with an expanded range of inspiration and techniques, as well as wall hangings, quilts of many styles, and fiber art - many pieces will be available for purchase.
