Guidelines for Scheduling Pump Test

  1. Pump Test facility will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis. If a department calls and wants to schedule time at our pit you must refer them to the OIC of Unit Day that test will be performed. OIC will in-turn confirm and schedule test.
  2. An “AGREEMENT OF USE” form must be signed, returned and approved by the fire chief or OIC prior to any testing.
  3. Only equipment listed is available for use buy departments wishing to use our facility. Any fire hose or additional equipment must be provided by testing department.
  4. Evendale will not provide manpower for pump testing. However, Evendale personnel will familiarize testing department with our facility and direct them to any equipment needed (provide that it is on the list).
  5. Evendale personnel will provide testing department with copy of “Safety Rules”.
  6. Evendale will provide testing department with oil pan to catch discarded primer oil and testing department must dispose of waste oil.
  7. When testing is complete OIC will make a visual check of testing facility to insure that no damage has been done and that all equipment is back in it’s proper place.
  8. If testing department has any additives (i.e.. “WET WATER”, foam, “SLIX”, etc.) in their on board water systems (i.e.. booster tank, pump, etc.) these systems MUST be drained as to not contaminate water in pump test facility.
  9. After confirming date for a department, mail, fax or give to them the following forms:
    • “Guideline for Scheduling Pump Test”
    • “Pump Testing Safety Rules”
    • “Equipment Available From Evendale For Pump Testing Facility”
    • “Agreement of Use”
