SWIM LESSON PROGRAM for RESIDENTS and BUSINESS MEMBERS In partnership with our pool management company. DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION: 9:00 PM the Thursday before lessons begin; Rosters will be set and emailed to participants the next day (Friday) by 4:00 PM. Sign-ups may continue after the deadline, if spaces are available.

Session 1 – June 2-12, M, T, W, TH Times: 10:00am (levels 1, 2, 3), 10:30am (levels 1, 2, 3), or 11:15am (levels 0, 1, 2, 3)

Session 2 – June 16-26, M, T, W, TH Times: 10:00am (levels 1, 2, 3), 10:30am (levels 1, 2, 3), or 11:15am (levels 0, 1, 2, 3)

Session 3 - New! – FOUR WEEKS – June 2-25, M & W Times: 5:30pm (levels 0, 1), 6:00pm (levels 2, 3)

Please note: You will be registered into a specific class time and level during registration. Each lesson is a ½ hour in length. Have your name added to the Wait List if session is full. (MIN: 3, MAX: 6) Each session fee is $15 per child, if registered, by 5/24. After May 24th, the fee per child is $20.

Cancellation Policy: Lessons will only be cancelled if thunder or lightning is in the area 15 minutes prior to the start of class. Make-up lessons may be offered on the first Friday of the session but are not guaranteed. Text EVENDALE to 84483 to opt into cancellation notifications. Waitlist Policy : We believe every child should have the opportunity to take swim lessons. If a class is full please join the waitlist so we may contact you with alternatives. Please note, classes may be combined or cancelled if enrollment is less than three swimmers. 

Lesson Program Levels Level 0: Frogs & Tadpoles Prerequisite - Child must be 9-36 months old. Focus - Parent/Child Water Acclimation, Safety. Taught by a certified professional, parent (or responsible adult) and child will become acclimated to the water through games and songs while in a group setting. Parent will learn key safety tools to use at a pool or near water. Parent and child are welcome to participate in this class until the child is 3-years-old and comfortable moving to the Flounder class on their own. Skills - Water safety, proper use of flotation devices, water acclimation, movement through water, floating in the water, blowing bubbles, and more. Requirements - A parent (or responsible adult) is required to participate in the water with each child. All children must wear a swim diaper. Registration is limited to one class per session per child.

Level 1: Flounder Skills Prerequisite - Child must be at least 3-years-old and willing to participate in class without a parent. Focus - Water Acclimation, Submersion, Air Exchange. Child will become acclimated to the water through games and will learn basic safety skills in addition to water submersion and floating with support. Skills - Independent movement through the water, floating on front and back, recovery from a floating position, nose/mouth bubbles, introduction to bobs, and age-appropriate safety skills. Requirements - Any child not potty-trained must wear a swim diaper. Parent (or responsible adult) must remain on pool deck during lessons. Registration is limited to one class per child per session.

Level 2: Jellyfish Skills Prerequisite - Successful completion of Flounder skills. Focus - Body Position, Forward Momentum. Child will expand on the skills learned in the Flounder class and learn to be in the water unassisted in both front and back positions while learning to propel themselves through the water using either arms or legs. Skills - Floating, gliding, streamline body position, recovery, bobs, submersion, propulsive kicking, introduction to propulsive arms, sit dives, and safety skills. Requirements - Swimmers must wear proper swim attire. Parent (or responsible adult) must remain on pool deck during lessons. Registration is limited to one class per child per session.

Level 3: Octopus Skills Prerequisite - Successful completion of Jellyfish skills. Focus - Coordination, Strong Flutter Kick, Introduction to Competitive Kicks. Child will learn fundamental freestyle and backstroke skills with emphasis placed on the coordination and timing of the strokes as well as the development of a strong flutter kick. Skills - Novice freestyle, novice backstroke, elementary backstroke, side glide, treading, kneel dive, and safety skills. Requirements - Swimmers must wear proper swim attire. Parent (or responsible adult) must remain on pool deck during lessons. Registration is limited to one class per child per session. Swim goggles (not a snorkel or mask) may be used by children in levels 3 and above.
