Does the Village have rules on how tall grass can be? At what point does the Village make the owners cut it?

Chapter 674 of the Village’s Codified Ordinances regulates length of grass/weeds. Ten (10) inches is the maximum height that grass/weeds can grow before they are in violation of Evendale Code. Should a property owner let their grass/weeds exceed the 10-inch height the Building Commissioner will contact the property owner by phone to resolve the situation. A letter ordering the grass/weeds to be cut follows this phone call. If this does not resolve the situation the property owner is notified that the Village will cut the grass and invoice the property owner. This takes 30 days to accomplish in order to provide the property owner with due process.
