Community can be defined in several ways; a social group of any size whose members reside in a specific locality, share government and often have a common cultural and historical heritage. Community can also stretch beyond locality and be a social, or occupational group that shares common characteristics or interests and perceives itself as distinct in some respect from the larger society within which it usually exists. "What is Your Community Light: An Evendale Juried Photography Exhibit" invites artist photographers out into the light, to explore their community and celebrate the art of photography and the community and stories it creates.
Photographers (professional and amateur 18 years or older living within a 50-mile radius of Evendale) are eligible to submit digital photographs or film photographs. As this is held in a family-friendly cultural arts center, artwork will be evaluated for appropriateness. Student category is considered any student under the age of 18 currently enrolled in school.
