Calling all young artists! Ready to dive into a summer of creativity? We're talking fun art experiments, texture explorations, and projects that'll blow your mind. Each week brings new materials and exciting possibilities. Whether you're a doodler, a painter, or just love getting your hands colorful, this is YOUR space to create, express yourself, and discover what makes you awesome. Make friends, get inspired, and create amazing artwork that screams "I MADE THIS!" Bring your imagination—we've got everything else covered. Finish strong at our Big Art Party showcase on Friday, August 7—your fans are waiting! (Fun in the Sun staff will take kids to and from class at the Cultural Arts Center.)

Clay Camp

Come get your hands dirty at Clay Camp! Campers will receive a small batch of clay at the beginning of each class and will be guided in fun weekly projects. All artwork will be featured at our Big Art Party Summer Youth Art Show on Friday, August 7 (Fun in the Sun staff will take kids to and from class at the Cultural Arts Center.)

Move It, Make It! Dance & Art Camp (Grades 1–4)

This one-of-a-kind camp blends the joy of dance with hands-on creative art — and finishes with something to show for it! Each day, campers will learn a new dance style (jazz, lyrical, pom, and hip-hop) before shifting into a creative art activity that encourages self-expression, imagination, and teamwork. The week builds toward a collaborative mural project that will be displayed right here at the arts center. With movement, music, crafts, snack time, and plenty of fun, this camp is the perfect summer adventure for young artists and dancers alike.

Piano Camp (Grades K-4)

Join the master piano teachers at CMV for a great week all about the piano! This camp is designed for both pure beginners and those who have been in Piano Partners 1, 2, or 3 Class all year at CMV. We will learn to play fun songs, build our own drums / percussion instruments, sing and develop musicianship, and a enjoy a host of other musical fun and games!

Summer String Intensive (Grades 5-12)

Calling all violin, viola, cello, bass, and piano players! This camp will exercise your musical muscles in a fun and supportive environment! Join CMV faculty and special guest artists from the CSO, CCM, and other Cincinnati arts organizations for a fun and focused week all about strings. We will play lots of chamber music, work on audition prep for Cincinnati Junior Strings and CSYO, have mini lessons & daily masterclass/performance experiences. Tippi Toes Princess & Superhero Adventure Dance Camp

Princess & Superhero Dance Adventure is a joyful, imagination-filled summer camp designed especially for children. Each day, campers will step into a magical world where princesses twirl, superheroes leap, and every child gets to shine. Throughout the week, dancers will enjoy age-appropriate dance classes, creative crafts, interactive story time, and playful games that build confidence, coordination, and teamwork. Our nurturing teachers create a welcoming environment where all children feel celebrated, supported, and excited to move. We will conclude our camp on Friday with a performance for our families! American Folk School Ukulele Summer Music Camp

Introduce your child to the wonderful world of the ukulele at our Ukulele Summer Camp! Over five fun-filled days, young campers will embark on a musical adventure, learning the rich history of this beloved instrument. They'll dive into playing songs across diverse genres, mastering the art of strumming even the simplest tunes. The grand finale? A lively luau celebration where your child will showcase their newfound skills in a concert for family and friends! Loaner Ukuleles and a handy instructional book are provided. Recommended for ages 6-12.

Songwriting Camp (Ages 8-14)

Do you love creative writing? Do you play an instrument? Do you like performing? Maybe you've never written a song or played an instrument, but think it would be fun to try? This camp is for anyone interested in writing songs, prior experience welcome, but not necessary! We will explore creative expression through fun writing games and prompts, piano, guitar, and ukulele tutorials, vocal coaching, and group collaboration. You will learn how to craft song lyrics and set music to your words. Come express yourself through song - write lyrics, learn how to play chords and accompany yourself on an instrument. You will have the opportunity to learn how to play ukulele, guitar, and piano. There will be instruments available to play, or you can bring your own from home. The week long experience will culminate in a performance on the last day of camp. Learn how songwriters like Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodriguez do what they do!

Led by the dynamic Miss Brenna, dancers will build confidence and skills through Hip Hop and Jazz technique, fun choreography, and themed crafts and games — all with serious summer-camp vibes. Whether your dancer wants to sharpen their technique or just loves to perform, this is the perfect mix of training and FUN. The week wraps up with a Friday performance for families. Spots fill fast!
