We offer a competitive salary that consistently ranks among the top 5 in Hamilton County. The department offers 10-hour shifts, providing 24 four-day weekends each year. Flexible overlapping shifts promote a healthy work-life balance.

  • Salary range $77,625.60 to $105,102.40 (Starting salary may be adjusted based on previous years of service with another department)

Our  Department
The Evendale Police Department consists of 21 full-time police officers. We offer a comprehensive field training program to give you the practice, skills, and confidence to be successful. We prioritize officer safety and provide professional training, equipment, and technology to support your career. We invest significantly in each officer we hire and strive to help them succeed.

Our Community
Evendale is a 4.5-square-mile village with a population of 2,767 residents and over 22,000 daytime visitors. The police department enjoys strong support from community members and elected officials. Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be citizen of the United States
Must have valid Ohio driver's license
High school graduate/GED
OPOTA certification (candidates without State of Ohio certification will be required to complete a State of Ohio certified academy)

Requirements
Non-lateral candidates must take the NTN exam.
Candidates without an associate's degree must obtain one within three years (The Village of Evendale reimburses tuition costs up to 100%, based on the final grade).
Non-lateral candidates must pass a physical ability test. 
All candidates must pass a background check, medical and psychological tests.
